There are times when a decoy is indispensable, especially field hunting. Add it to your bag of tricks. If nothing else, it's fun to watch a turkey beat the snot out of your decoy.

Before you know it you'll be buying David Halloran turkey calls...Glad you are enjoying yourself! I'm having more fun now than all my big game adventures combined. They really are a worthy adversary.

I have seven of David's calls and have killed turkeys with all of them. His Metal Mouth pot call has probably accounted for the most and is easiest for a beginner to learn to use. If you looking for a box call, his long box is pure turkey. RM

Ok I did see the metal mouth and that had good looks from people also, maybe I will pick one up at the end of the season if they have some clearance sales somewhere.

And that’s a wrap! My New York tags are filled one yesterday and one today. Great hunting, although a lot of pressure, but great memories made. 7 long beards in the first 12 days of the season truly incredible. Time to get the fishing poles out now lol
