    Terrible start to the season

Here's hoping Dave your outboard runs as expected when you get it back from your dealer.. I have run nothing but 2 strokes until I finally bought a new honda 50 in 05 to put on the back of my 16' Starcraft, and I was Not happy with how that outboard changed the attitude of the hull..I ran 3...

    Duck calls

After winning many calling championships and having drawers full of $200+ competition calls, that the last thing I want to have with me in the marsh..In my humble opinion, the good old Haydels DR-85 (DR=double reed) is my go to call everytime. people can say all they want about spit tech...

    Shotgun suggestion

I would have to agree with Tom, if sleeping is higher on your Sons priority list then hunting, let him shoot his 20, and you can always spoil him and let him shoot your new Benelli once Dad spoils himself... :) Can't beat the good ol 870's though..Good luck with your decision

Show me your open water grey painted rigs

After looking at many paint jobs for marsh and open water setups, I feel the dead grass and or tans don't hold much merit for blending in open water ..my 2 cents

Show me your open water grey painted rigs

You're right Cody, that is a cool looking camo pattern, i'm starting to think that horizontal lines will blend better on the water than vertical, but camo jobs can be like buying fishing lures, it's what looks good to us, and maybe not what the fish will like...

    another quection for sneakbox owners

+1 for the danforth...they bite and bite good with a good length (3'-4') of beefy chain between your rope and anchor..Depending on current and wind conditions, a 3:1 ratio ( 10' of water-30' of rope ) in my opinion, is minimum to have in the boat, up to 5;1 or more for stiffer winds and or...
