    NDR - Alaska 2018 - NDR

Todd, We made the trip in 89 and will never forget it. We drove a '72 Chev pickup with a slide in camper that got lots of comments and questions. We were gone 6 weeks and that was a good time. This year my sister and brother in law drove it also, they really appreciated your pics. We may make...

    And so it begins

Very nice Dani, keep on keepin on. It is amazing how those dogs can sneek into places that will spoil them. Those big ol lizards creep me out but I can see the fun hunting them. Do they really "taste like chicken?" Thanks for sharing, now I need to get my stuff together for missing the last two...

After building several carts I settled on a cart from Cabellas modified to fit my Poleboat. It has worked very well for years now.

Do You Like Yours With or Without? And why?

With !! You can sleep in it and with a good roof rack (Yakama) you can haul a boat up top. I wouldn't be without a good fiberglass topper. Just MHO. I am working on a new set up for my truck, hopefully pics to follow.

    Update for my DHBP famly

Well I was warned that there would be changes, just didn't expect them this quick. In a nutshell my first chemo drug (Revlamide) was being too hard on my white blood cells. So after a trip to Mayo and some more lab work I will be going to the big kids chemo room.I will get a port and twice a...

    Battery help

I just got the cheapest L/G battery at Wally World and it started the 25 Evinrude all season. My25 doesn't have a charging system and I never had to pull start. I got a second battery just like the first to run the lights and access. Just letting you know what worked for me. Good Luck, lets see...

Jim, FIrst of all you have to know that you are in good company here. Anyone who has ever had to say good by to a four legged partner knows your pain. I am sorry for your loss. I have several guys waiting at the rainbow bridge who will welcome your buddy.

Call out for brain trust opinons

First a big thank you for the responses. I ordered the product that Pete recommended, the Steelflex both for UV protection and low friction.Several things were brought up that never crossed my old mind. I'll post how it works when this season is over, I missed the last 2 so I will be hitting it...

Call out for brain trust opinons

Dave, The same thing happens with boat weight. I used to be able to put it up top of the truck but something happened.[;)] Pete,Thanks for the UV reminder since the boat spends much time upside down on a rack outside. More to think about.

Call out for brain trust opinons

Part of my choice now is to paint or not paint the bottom. Now that I have a slick shiny epoxy bottom I hesitate to paint it. Seems like paint has pretty good friction. Good point Jeff. Odds are this fix will last for years.

That sounds like a good plan, does that go over old glass or does it have to be bare wood?

Call out for brain trust opinons

[sly][;)]I know that there may be a few thoughts about this but I had to ask. What are the thoughts about making the bottom of the boat slick or not. I am redoing the bottom of my Poleboat after some 15 years of dragging it around. Seems to me a smooth bottom would make sense. I do realize on a...
