Al, I really enjoy viewing all the differnt pictures you post. Thank you. I wonder if the other quail said to that one, "Dude your having a bad feather day." On average how far are you from these birds when you are taking the pictrues? My best, Don

Some times it is good to just to get out and use the equipment

Nick, It was cold, but not as bad as the spill I took in December. I need to get better about keeping the boat right side up. My best, Don

Some times it is good to just to get out and use the equipment

Tod, No not yet. The soldier stopped by on Friday and we got introduced. She is a sweety and got along well with Aspen so I think we are good to go. I feel for a guy that has to be away from his pup for a year. This will be his second stint over there. My best, Don

Some times it is good to just to get out and use the equipment

Hi, Aspen and a buddy and I took a little float trip today to look at some ducks, wildlife, and took an unexpected early spring swim when I choose poorly running the canoe through a rock garden . We saw 8 species of waterfowl, a badger, otter, deer, hawks... This one has been here...

    "I AM SPARTACUS"...very photo heavy....

Steve, You almost had me at the gift for WSU. You have no fear about the boy usurping your place in the truck. He is being raised with a strong respect for his elders and by the time he starts hunting you will be so old to be limited to riding around in the truck and telling us stories about...

    Another dog for the truck

Gregg, Hey, good on you. From where are you getting the pup? Tiger Mt? Don't let Sutton give you a hard time about the color. It is a scientfically proven that the brown dogs are the best hunting dogs. The only downside I have found with the brown dogs is when it is raining in the sage they...

    Another dog for the truck

Hi, I came across the following classified ad last night. The bride is on a long girls weekend and I had not even got half way through it and she said we need to help this soldier out. " WANTED: Dog Care Uniontown Local National Guard Soldier who is slated to deploy later this...

Setting Telephone Poles for a Batting Cage

Eric, I would go with PT 6X6's, just like they use for pole buildings. I have put them in the ground with 3 guys by getting in the end near the whole and just walking them up until they slid in the whole. Not really that difficult. My best, Don

    Pride and joy...

Pat, Good for Sarah. One of the things I like about this site is the obvious joy and pride everyone has in their kids and their willingness to share it. I wish Sarah nothing but the best. Please sign me up as a donut tester also. :) My best, Don

Trailer lights, poor parenting, silly sate rules, and a pretty dog

Steve, Why would the police ever need to read your plate? I look at this as just another example of our state's deep affection for regulation of any kind. I am unable to think how this helps with public safety in any way. My best, Don

Trailer lights, poor parenting, silly sate rules, and a pretty dog

Al, I really wish that was true, but I hardly ever see ducks in the wheat stubble in our area. My best, Don

Trailer lights, poor parenting, silly sate rules, and a pretty dog

Dave, Part of JD's and my efforts yesterady was adding a dedciated ground. I have the lights up out of the water on the duck boat and it does make a big differnce. The problem with the current placement on this particular trailer beyound dunking in the water is that a buddy of mine has...

Trailer lights, poor parenting, silly sate rules, and a pretty dog

Steve, The little boat is a Don Hill Mini-Drifter. That one has been in the stable for a dozen years. It is a very sweet platform for fishing the local lakes and floating the smaller rivers. Good luck on the chainsaw...to bad you don't know a big burly logger. My best, Don

Trailer lights, poor parenting, silly sate rules, and a pretty dog

Hi, Today I introduced the boy to working on trailer lights. I feel a little bad about doing this to him at such a young age but those are the breaks. I tried to explain to him that he will be facing a lifetime of dealing with trailer lights that don't work if he wants to keep fishing and...

Hi, This sunrise is from a late November duck hunt on the east side of Washington. [inline sunrise.jpg] This sunrise was taken by Sutton when he was over visting for a very cold pheasant hunt in early November. My best, Don

    O.K., Sutton....

Bob, Thanks for the heads up on the tables. I was toying with the idea of making a table that will fold off the wall for the Bride in the laundry room for folding clothes and wrapping presents on. These looked like just the ticket. IKEA? Never been in one. One of the many great things...
