    Turkey Season

I've heard some hunters only breast out a turkey so I wanted to share this. Today Heather made turkey soup out of the legs and thighs. If I understand the process correctly she slow cooked them for 16 hours to tenderize, pulled the meat and along with other ingredients added a bit of chicken...

Dani, Sounds to me snake proof waders/mud boots and a change of underwear will be in order. Funny thing the drill instructors said the same thing that if you leave them alone the snake will reciprocate. I still levitate however. Richard

Dani, Thank you for the very generous offer. I am skittish of snakes in general but more so after completing basic training at Fort Benning GA! My wife is delighted by the way! Richard

    Turkey Season

Dani, Yes I would very much appreciate the name of the WMA! We have not done much homework yet but my wife's idea of a perfect vacation involves much sun tanning on a beach with some turkey hunting. I'm a little skittish around snakes hence the interest in a guide. Richard

KS Gov Vetos Proposed Non-resident Waterfowler Restrictions

Bob brought up North Dakota which my family used to travel to to hunt pheasant. Fantastic hunting, great access and alot of local revenue generated by other like minded non residents. About 30 years ago there was a push to limit out of state pressure. The legislature responded by limiting...

KS Gov Vetos Proposed Non-resident Waterfowler Restrictions

Our goal as sportsmen and women should be to give more than we take. If everyone who participates contributed to conservation programs such as Ducks Unlimited the problems we've mentioned with overcrowding would be solved. Wetland restoration takes money and involvement from hunters of all ages...

KS Gov Vetos Proposed Non-resident Waterfowler Restrictions

I would like to chime in on this subject due to my experiences hunting with a group of younger gentlemen in Saskatchewan the last two years. Not sure how the subject was brought up but I inquired how many in the group belonged to Ducks Unlimited. Believe it or not not a single person save myself...

    Turkey Season

Early season success! My wife Heather and I both scored the first day of turkey hunting in Minnesota. Tough conditions; 30 mph winds but the toms were not henned up. Off to South Dakota in a couple of weeks.

    My broadbill

Yes, I too am curious about mud motors on Devlin boats. Does anyone have a recommendation on which motor well configuration would work best for an outboard and a mud motor? I like the idea of a recessed mount so the boat is more level plus easier to cancel. I am thinking Devlin Bluebill. Richard
