I am in the process of building another open water layout and had a question about using Kevlar cloth in place of fiberglass mat. I typically use 1.5 oz. fiberglass mat on the bottom of the boat (outside) along with the basic fiberglass resin/hardener to seal it up and it has always worked well...

Thanks for the help. I am building an open water layout and wanted Kevlar on the bottom of the well floor (exterior) as and additional buffer against abrasion when pulling the layout back in or pushing it out of the tender. I guess if it's covered with resin you wouldn't really get the benefits...

Pretty easy to get guns, and decoys past the old battle axe but I have one problem..........I need a dog. Do you think there's any chance she might not notice a CBR in the mudroom? Maybe I could get her to use the front door from now on.

I recommend one of the Orrthopedic beds from DR Foster/Smith. My guy had one and he loved it, jumped right up on it out of the box. The thing is about 6" thick of dense foam and rebounds to shape every time. It was a touch expensive but it worked for him....
