    Steel Shot performance question

    I shoot anything on sale and frankly they all work fine at 30 yds. Fast steel seems to be oversized and jams in my x3 occasionally. But I hunt an over/under a lot and if I can stuff it in there it goes bang just fine.

    We use 3' droppers to attach to the long line with clips. The line actually goes down straighter than a single rig decoy so it is actually safer. The clips and the weight keep the motherline down.

    I used to do it on rivers to make set up easier from shore. I would lay them out then pitch the weight out and let the decoys follow. This was smaller rivers and I would do maybe six or 8 per line then put a few singles in between. We even took to leaving a rope tied off ahead of the weight...

    Sounds like anything I hunt in Ohio. However, is it possible he just didn't see you? I am colorblind and have a really hard time seeing someone in hunter orange myself.
