    SousVide recipe

I'm looking for some help getting started with SousVide cooking. Santa brought a unit yesterday and I've got a variety of ducks I'd love to use with it. I have Hank Shaw's book but would like to hear a couple of simple recipes from our duck boat family. Nothing better than first hand advice...

    Next Christmas List

Good thread Matt. I always have dog biscuits for my four legged partner. I feel guilty staying warm and dry eating a donut as she looks at me dripping water from a retrieve.

    Merry Christmas everyone

Bob, I couldn't help but notice both grandsons are looking skyward just like Scooter. You'll be able to catch a good nap in the blind with all those eyes scanning for birds! Great picture. Merry Christmas to you and the entire duck boat family.

    'Twas the night before Christmas......

Looks like a great day Bob. Congrats. And the pup is still scanning for birds. She's a keeper. Jim

    Snows on the move

A friend and I just got back from Arkansas and the Specks and Snows were coming in huge flocks. String after string. A lot more geese than ducks.

    Last Day (video added)

A great way for you and Kodi to end the season. Put that golden eye to rest. He'll be back next year. Congrats on another good day on the water.

    Bull, Traveling diver decoy, update

Great start to Bull's west coast hunt. The decoy spread representing the mix of carvers and duck hunter's sure beats a bunch of plastic. Good luck the rest of the season. Do you post your videos?

    Nice afternoon hunt

Nice job Phil. Looks like Kodi has a little smirk on his face. Mississippi River, cans in the bag, and a wet muddy Chessie. Doesn't get much better.

Our buddy Tom Scholberg could use some help.

Hey Tom, I missed the season last year with some "stuff". I know how you feel. But the good news is this season has been tons of fun. Birds or no birds. I'm hoping you'll have the same experience next season. And I got real lucky the other day with a beautiful drake mallard with a band...

    Ducks, Fish & Crabs

Glad you're seeing ducks Carl. Good luck with the opener. The crabs and fish remind me of Tin Top. Still one of our favorite spots. With out your tip we never would have found it.

    First wind

Great series of pictures Phil. And you'd better not walk too far from the boat or you'll never find it. Nice job with the motor. It was good when you added the black but now it literally disappears. Did you get the trailer light fixed?

An account of the last 4 days.

Lots of fun to hunt with Phil and his pup. Even though the birds weren't cooperating any day on the big river is a good day. Here are a couple more shots from our outing. Thanks for putting up with me Phil.

    Dog blinds?

Andrew, I've got the Rig Em Right for my 70 pound lab. Very slick and easy. I leave both doors open. She goes in the back side and lays down. She wasn't a fan of going in the front and turning around. Well built and portable. good luck. Jim

Checking in after a long break-with a new pup!

Sorry to hear about Sage, Cody. The seven year mark seems to be the one where things happen. I've lost two great labs at year seven. Your new pup looks awesome. Glad you got back in the game. All the best with Cedar. Love the name. Jim
