    One of them days....

Hey if every duck boat motor ran like a top what would be the fun. Here's a few good ones...... Buddies 115 2stroke just won't give him power probably blown gasket. Gets new 4 stroke , it'll be safer, more reliable. We camp out every opener, more for the comradery and drinking ,errrr food. But...

So some questions about designing/building a sneakbox

So after looking at the devlin designs, which I do like but don't exactly love the $1000 in epoxy and cloth. I have started doodling a boat. I've taken some looks at a friends marsh boat also which is 14'ish and hard chined and goes like heck with a 15 on it. My question is how do the round...

    Your advice on transom options

Couple buddies have made nice open boats out of old crest liner Nordic 19's and some starcrafts. Rip all the consoles out redo the floor and throw. Tiller out back. Also firm believer of wells. Maybe find a sheet metal shop to bend you one up. Tony

So some questions about designing/building a sneakbox

Thanks Carl. it's a Jeff spira oysterman . Took a while to build (1.5 years approximately) but most delay was weather related. I work for the power company and summers are busy , plus who wants to sand glass in the heat. And then the winters aren't the best for epoxy either since I don't have...

So some questions about designing/building a sneakbox

Sooooo.......I would like to build a sneakbox, have thought about a bluebill or mallard from Devlin. Fro what I've searched on here sounds like the mallard is a little slower than I'd like. And the bluebill sounds like speed wise is fast enough or faster than I would need. But I am leery about...

    Motor issues and December hunting

That's a better result than I was expecting. I've heard a clunk after an evening late season goose hunt before. Except mine was ice in the lower unit ripping it to shreds. A tangled piece of weed wackier line is way better. But now keep am eye on lower unit oil. Also the sleeping can shot...

    First time long time

I'll see what I can do Dave. They're all a hunting partners decoys. We're local to Jack and another friend/associate has the mold. So my partner made 6-7 dozen. I could ask if I could get one. Also not sure who's heads they are. Steve, how rough of water would you take that boat in? I've...

Well first post here and really haven't been stalking to long. Stumbled upon the site trying to find a source for a two man sneak box plan. Looking forward to hopefully building one in the spring. Still looking for plans I want. Also have made some terrible looking foam decoys and some not so...
