Great shots once again!! I see a mixture of Lessers and Greaters. I thought that Greaters were called Broadbills, and Lessers were called Bluebills. This isn't the case along the East Coast ?

Al please don't take my comment the wrong way. I too enjoy watching and listening to waterfowl, and I'm sure you did plenty of listening with those birds in front of you ;) . But I don't see many snows/blues/ross' here where I'm at, and bands/collars are also very rare. Add to that, I LOVE...

I'm with the whole angle idea. what you are seeing at the ground level while outside will be different from what they see at an elivated level. Or .... Could it be a territorial response to their own reflections?

Glad that they got the trap removed. I believe that 330's are legal to set on dryland in Montana. But what is legal may not be ethical to many. Personally I would not set a 330 on land. Maybe a Wolverine set?

Great shots ! Man those seaducks are just too cool! Something I've been wanting to ask for awhile now ..... I've read of people talking about northern birds, and the lobes on the Eiders. Care to explain what all this means?
