I thank all of you for your prayers and support

Gary, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I can't imagine what it must have been like for you, but I know you have been blessed to spend time with her before the Lord took her home. We've never met, yet I feel like I know you somehow and my heart breaks for you right now. I will continue...

    I dream of Sanford Boxes.

Great post Bob! I can't wait until I can take my boys out there!!! Only 5 more years for Mason, and 10 more for Braiden! Speaking of those Sanford Boxes, I was just thinking about how cool it would be to have one on the river here and I was looking at the post of your build yesterday. I...

    Favorite Canvasback Decoy?

Being born and raised in Minnesota, I'm going to have to go with the Delta Cans that James Ford Bell had made for him back in the day. Most were made by the Ducharme family I believe. A more modern choice would be Don Mintz. He is the man when it comes to foamers!

    Blake's NJ hunting trip

Sounds like he went away with a great experience that he will always remember, and that buffy is pretty cool too!!! Thanks for posting that Jode!

Last stop in Jersey for Lady M

Looks like you had some good times! I especially like that setup in the pasture pond! Looks like a fun spot! I love the "sleeper" decoy with the head underwing!!! Very lifelike! :)

    foamers in the works

Have you tried carving your own foamers yet Mike? I love it! I started out with a DU Bluebill mold and hated it. Now I'm carving the pink sheets with just a dremel and sandpaper with good results. It actually goes pretty quick once you get the hang of it.

    Thursday Morning Honker

Went out this morning because it was supposed to be windy, and wouldn't you know it, crystal clear and calm. A lone goose fell victim to the big river flute. He passed overhead, I hit him with a few clucks and he made one bank, dropped elevation and hoovered right over the decoys feet down...

    Morning Hunt

That's too funny! I can't tell you how many times I've dropped or spilled my coffee while hunting! It doesn't seem to matter what you're doing (whether it's eating, pouring your coffee, responding to the call of nature, whatever...) the birds just know somehow when you're not on the lookout...

    Mixed Bag Monday!

Funny you should say that Al. We ran out of propane early and dangit, I had to actually put my coat on! I may have been spoiled already.

Man you guys are inspiring! There's a lot of beautiful birds being done. I'm just getting started and am still carving with the pink foam. One of these days I'll try some wood!!! Here's a bobtail GE I just finished and put in the water this morning.

    A Butterball Morning...

Thanks guys. I had lots of fun and hey, I was warm the whole time! It sure is nice to not wear a coat or gloves when it's 18 degrees out! I was actually quite skeptical of his blind at first. It's out in open water with ice behind it and nothing around to help hide it, but the buffies didn't...
