Conservation organizations like DU or Delta rarely partner with each other so this letter to Secretary of the Interior, Doug Burgum, is kind of a big deal. RM...

    Synthetic blind grass thread

I have had good success weaving it through garden fence netting to create my own custom mats. As Roy mentioned, it is great for overhead cover. RM

The "eye" thing is no joke. I purposely blunted the ends because I was worried about Berta catching one in her eye. RM

This article actually explains the relationship between tiling and aquifers. It is sad when one considers the damage done to our once beautiful state of Minnesota. You don't have to look long and hard as to why the fall migration goes around Minnesota. RM...

    Synthetic blind grass thread

Chip, Synthetic blind grass is awesome for a small boat but prohibitively expensive (at least for my budget) on a larger craft. The upside is it will look just as good after driving a thousand miles as the day you put it on. RM

I found this article on drain tile interesting although it does not begin to touch on the issues concerning our depleted aquifers. RM https://flatlandkc.org/news-issues/farm-to-trouble-drainage-tile-drives-nutrient-pollution/

If any argument, disagreement or issue were simply black or white I would agree with Henry's position. My family resides in the Red River Valley and our location serves as a perfect example of how farming practices affect us all, both negatively and for the positive. Yes, our nation is the bread...

Advice on First Back Bay Duck Boat - Devlin BB

Steve, Thanks for sharing this. I had no idea "WEST" SYSTEM was an acronym! Like we used to say on the railroad when someone complained about not having enough seniority to hold a certain job, "You (in this case, I) should have left the farm sooner." RM

    bridge boat build

Rob, Roller trailers are awfully nice. Might be worth the investment to get new rollers. If you decide to go the bunk route, you might consider applying Wetlander to your hull to make loading and unloading easier. RM

Advice on First Back Bay Duck Boat - Devlin BB

In defense of wooden boats, water soaked foam is just as much of a problem in aluminum and fiberglass boats as well. Don't even get me started on whoever thought it a good idea to install carpet on top of unsealed plywood soles. Poor construction doesn't play favorites. RM

No new thing under the sun. Our first "war" as a nation was against the Barbary pirates some 225 year ago. We are still fighting them today. RM

I just got an alert from Ducks Unlimited about this. Brad explained it much better. I will go back and submit my comment for wetlands preservation. RM

    Saskatchewan Follows Manitoba

https://missoulacurrent.com/viewpoint-elk-slaughter/ Perhaps someone can shed some light on this as I'm trying to understand how we got to this point. Is the North American Wildlife Conservation Model no longer taught in university curriculum? Are the state wildlife agencies that broke that they...

    Saskatchewan Follows Manitoba

The "illegal operations" that Rob Olson spoke about still sounded alot like conjecture with little hard evidence. As far as guiding and monetization of wildfowl resources are concerned, I'm reminded of the parable of the tent and the camels nose. Sounds like North and South Dakota all over...
