did you ever have that one dog

Jet is my once in a lifetime dog. I have had others but she is the one. Great on upland & ducks. Geese are her favorite, especially cripples. Awesome pet too. She is 10 and slowing down but otherwise doing well.

    Prop Protector for Running River

Props are overrated. On my 30 hp Merc I lost at least 1/3 of the tip on all 3 blades in the river with no resulting vibration. It even got up on plane!

Carl, I haven't seen the original thread you are referring to unless you mean the 'safety on the water" thread.

Fatal duck hunting accident in Connecticut on Saturday 1/20

I am really amazed at the lack of responses to a tragedy that is so close to many of us. I haven't read the cause of the accident or whether the hunters were wearing pfds or not but this is a chilling reminder of the hazards of duck hunting in the winter and the reason we need to be vigilant in...

    Safety on the water.

My buddy was hunting with his 12 year old in January about 10 years ago. He started the motor but didn't realize it was in gear and it ejected him out. We didn't wear life jackets back then so he probably didn't have his on. Luckily he was still holding onto the pull rope as he was being towed...

Please don't let this be the new trend...

UGH! At least they "ask" participants to follow AGFC rules. I guess it's not mandatory.

    dog names

Thinking about names for a new pup and wondered what some of you all call your best friend. I'll start. Jet is my 10 year old lab and is irreplaceable. Previous dog were Chance, Memphy, & Dutchess.

I have some Okoume marine plywood laying around and am thinking about using it for bottom boards on some cork decoys. Any thoughts?

    Dumb question but timely

We tried to break a rock at the end of a breakwall last year. It was only about 10' long and 6' high above the water. Hit it dead center. It didn't move.

Now here is a dumb-ass move....

We all do it. Yesterday we got to the launch and after backing up to launch, putting on waders, all gear in boat and removing tie downs, my buddy went to plug the gas line into the gas tank and realized the gas tank was safe in his garage.
