First off its been a long while and I appoligize for that. The first picture is my new Irish Water Spaniel puppy that I got from England. His name is Storm. River and Storm are doing great together. The puppy's sire just won top gundog at the Crofts show in England last month. His traing is moving along very nice. He looks a lot like River but will have much longer legs then the American Water Spaniel. Can't wait to hunt him this winter.

Nice to meet and talk with you at Westlake!

I was wondering when I was going to get to see some pics of your new Pup.

Worth the wait, I see.

Good luck with him.

Don't be afraid to post a few pictures here and there. (I'm sure I don't need to encourage you on that).

Gary, Great shots. Pup looks nice.

I've been in the woods too, but no Big Gobbler in the bag. Our birds around here have been unusually quiet and finding them has been tough. Good Luck!

Gary,
Good to hear from you again and thanks for the update.
My 10 yr. old lab has had what we think was a stroke,he is coming along nicely however and should be able to enjoy the hunt on a limited basis this fall.
I am curious however, why did you choose an IWS over another AWS?
Good luck with the pup.
Bill.

Gary,

Nice photos, thanks for sharing. I especially like the first photos showing the catfish clutched in the talons. How long do you typically have to lie in wait for a photo op of this sort?

Congrats on the new family member. Good thing there are a lot of breeds to choose from because ,,,,,, well lets just say my preference for "looks" runs a different direction. :>) Before everyone slams me, I am sure they are a fine working dog, it's just that they don't trip my trigger. I'll stop now, before digging my hole any deeper. :>) :>)

Good luck in your hunt for the right turkey, anxiously awaiting more photos.

Gary, great looking dog. Looking forward to meeting them both in Jan, great photos as always. ESP like the turkey photos. Good to hear from you mate.

Gary,

Handsome pup. Take away the mop and he has a face like a chocolate lab. Bet your having a great time with both of them.

Gary, great to see you back on. What a nice looking pup. He's going to look good with decoys and ducks in the background. Our Osprey here are paired up and putting nests together. Great looking photos.

Great looking pup and awesome shots of the ospreys. Neat seeing it with a brown bullhead.

Good to see your post, Gary. What marvelous images of the osprey. See you have an abundance of turkey also. The best of all is knowing that River now has a hunting side kick by the name of Storm. Looks like that pup is blessed with an abundance of great qualities. You are right, it will be difficult to wait for that opening day of season. Good luck with your training. I'll look forward to many pics of Storm in the future.

What a beauty Gary! Your dogs and their companionship are a blessing in so many ways. Thanks for sharing your goodness brother and God bless! Pat

Bill,

I can't speak for Gary but I would hazard to guess that he was looking for a little more size.

Great photos! Osprey are so well adapted for catching fish. Fish hook talons, extra long wings for getting off the water, and anti glare mask across eyes.....and your great photos shows it all. I've said it before and I'll say it again.....you need to publish a book of your photos! By the way, great looking dog! I've never even heard of that breed before. Does anyone breed those in the U.S.?

Jon, It was great meeting you also at Westlake. Oh my God! I spent to much money there. Next year I will be more prepared.

Gary

Jode, I am just starting to get serious about the turkeys now. Hopefully I will get one tomorrow. I will post plenty of pictures if and when I get one.
