Just finished and added a Bufflehead Drake painting tutorial to the website: www.lockstockbarrell.com
Scroll down the menu to "Decoy Painting" and then to the "Buffy Drake". It's a pdf file. You can click and view or right click, do a "save as" and put it on your computer for viewing/reference later.
Holler with any questions and I'm tired and leaving the shop for the day. Lou has left the building. ; )

Thanks Lou,
For the last 4 years (coincidently the same time my son was born) I've been carving a buffle head but haven't gotten to the painting stage just yet. That block, over the years, has multiplied by 8 -all still unpainted. Now that my son is "painting" he see's the duck decoys unfinished and asked me if he could help.

I think he'll do a better job, probably get them done faster, and he likes hanging out in the garage- it's all coming together!

Thanks,
Jack

Thanks fella, always happy to share. So many folks have helped me along the way that it behooves me to pass it on.
Later, I'm heading up to the lake house now to get ready for our BBQ carving club meeting now ( www.scfwa.net ).
