i will be posting more pics as i do boat ive made flap boards already and front dodger pics to follow i will be adding a switch panel interior lights and light bar poss a radio and speakers not sure yet motor is a 1999 25 tohatsu which im converting to a 30hp and adding a 1/4 in aluminum plate to motor board

Was able to finish up the wiring on the new bow light new spreader light all the interior lights fishfinder/ gps unit 4 Scotty flush mounts installed new motor board boss radio it’s almost ready

Crazy how that blue light makes the bottom of the boat look so cluttered!!!

Seats are done flooring is done motor tweaked now a 30hp new decals added motor board support done next is dodger and flaps but not till end of summer now it’s time to enjoy boat

Looking good, Will! Later on this summer we’ll have to go out for a ride out in the bay! You still doing that annual summer meet up of duck boats?

we've been known to put some funny stickers on our rigs. One of the guys has a fighter jet shark teeth coming off the front of his boat in our group. At first i was meh, then over time ive come to kind of like it on his boat. Many moons ago we had an airboat. It was kind of a disaster, but on the paddles behind the fan, we made a big duck call logo and the caption "Blow me" around it. It seemed fitting but kind of obnoxious. Ive kind of grown out of those years of stickers on things and I just like clean and the less attention the better anymore.
The boat is turning out fantastic though, and you are doing a very fine job sir. Enjoy it for many many years.
We've had some silly names for our boats. My favorite has always been one of our family boats, a 14'ish skiff, part of the duck hunting fleet. My younger family members liked The Monkeys back in the 60's-70's, specifically Davy Jones. We named the boat Davy Jones Locker, which the young kids thought meant where he kept his clothes. On a particularly rough day, of which there have been many, we would joke that the real DJL would surface in the rig and we'd get sucked right in. Everybody knew that's how it happens. Kid gallows humor.

I dont want to derail this thread because its so good, so I will leave this comment and be done with responses, but remember when barrel stickers were the cool thing on shotguns? That fad was going on when I was just a young pup in my college days. I had the bright idea to have a custom one made that said "duckin, cluckin and fu*****". Of course I was all over social media those days and boy did that gain traction quick. It was either severly loved or severly hated. Looking back, not one of my proudest moments by any means.

lol forums are fun for me. Gets away from the rift raft and a little more personal. Honestly, if I wasnt in front of a computer screen so many hours a day, I probably wouldnt be here either. This site certainly helps get me through the day and a lot better information and a lot more fun to be around this kind of information than what is seen on the social media platforms. Just got to a point where i was fighting off the interweb scouters and I asked myself one day... who am i trying to impress?? I couldnt even really answer it, so i deleted all of it and never went back.You haven't lost your touch.

have not given a name yet people always busting my chops cause i flip boats but actually it just took me this long to figure out how i wanted my boat to be i do enjoy doing wrk for people to try and save them money but not trying to take away from the company . 4 tdbs in 4 yrs 1 duck boss and 2 marshhawks lol .....so i think a good name would be (4 Sail) it is tough to get good vinal decals that stick but would like the name( LumLump)
