Black ducks

but can you post the photo of the 3 Blacks coming across the marsh that is in the book?

Thats a neat picture and I'd like to see it in a larger size...

And of course you know I'm gonna say...post some of those Wheeler influenced Blacks......

Steve

It always amazes me when I see the Crowell and Wheeler method of painting and the lines of their decoys. No species shows that fact better than Blackducks. Those two guys were decades ahead of their time. I know you have studied both men for years. You should be proud of the way you have kept their art alive. I know they are smiling down on you.

of the black ducks. I hope to get up north to hunt those wily ducks...maybe next year....who knows. Every now and then I see some black ducks out on the salt but mostly these days I see mallardxmottled crosses, but every so often a pair of blacks come by that allow me to miss them. Love the decoys....

Steve, I have more images to post, but when I try and upload them, they won't.....a line appears that they exceed the max (and it says my images are 32.5 KB or mb of whatever) when all the images have been resized under a 100 just like all the others. I hope I didn't screw something up!!! Maybe your server is trying to shut me off!! :)

70'ish for the Picklehead Blacks.....and boy do those look real......you sure you aren't missing a "1" in front of the "35"?

Steve

I double checked (and triple checked) it clearly stated 35. KB. I re-checked all my resized images, and they are all 90 and below.

Thanks Keith. This could not have come at a better time for me since I am currently painting a blackie. They are outstanding!...................Kevin

Well now, the advanced editor browse area is missing under the reply field box!! I think I am being shut off!! Does anyone know what the heck I've done??

THanks Gary and Kevin!

Kevin, do you need any close-ups of the heads or feathers?? I have some good close-up shots of those areas.

if that fizes the problem....

Don't know why it works, or that it will, but "sometimes" it does.....

If the problem is still there when you log back on let me know and we'll get Eric, Head Nerd of the Herd, to figure it out.....
