I really like that pose myself. I've done it a couple of times on mallard hens. One of them has the bill buried and the other like the black duck a little more slid off the front with the bill showing. I'm a big fan of sleepers with some locations we hunt and certain species.
This one is all cork other than the tail insert.
this one is a burlapped foamer mallard hen and was the one I used for a reference when carving the black duck sleeper. This one is about 20 years old, I've learned to remember to close the eyes since then.
