Seems counter intuitive to put a blind on a sneakbox. I thought a sneakbox was designed to hide next to shore and operate like a layout. I would also be concerned about stability of the boat with that much sail area of the sides and the weight.

With the blind up how would you reach cripples?

I suspect it was intended to make the boat serve double duty, adding open water capability. I'm not convinced it would work with regularity, but I like the idea of trying something new. I didn't see the size as big enough to make the boat unstable. But I wasn't paying that close attention to the details either.
