We got a dusting down here in the Quad cities. I thought about getting out the last few days while we had 60s and a 70 degree day but priorities took presidence. I'd be happy to not see anymore snow!

No thanks. Been highs in 60s-70s for a few days. I know its a false spring, but it feels like gobblers should be sounding off in the woods while I've been driving to work.

Not very nice looking at all. We have been crazy cold here in CT (relatively speaking) the past month, we have had snow on the ground for a month, which is rare for us anymore. Weather is breaking and robins are starting to appear.
Did you see the forecast @tod osier ?
They are using the B word in the forecast for Sunday to Monday. WTNH 8 is throwing around Noreaster and Blizzard! So that means we will only get a dusting! 🤞

Awesome!
Just once, for the novelty value, I'd love to go for a boat ride in while its snowing.

Meanwhile here it's just shorts and t-shirts...

All~

I am on Long Island this weekend. Rain all day yesterday and about 45 degrees here today. But...calling for about 15 inches of snow Sunday into Monday. I hope to drive north ahead of the storm - getting back home where no snow is expected. Otherwise, everything around the farm - including all vessels - have been under snow since before Christmas.

NOTE: Hunting in the snow - especially from a boat - is the best!

All the best,

SJS

Could be a mess. I’d mentally moved on from winter. I was planning on moving the tractor with snow blower out to the barn from the garage today, buuuutttttt… :(

Had a few days of thaw and rain here. Water under the thick ice, and on top of the thick ice. Some impressive ice jams on the streams nearby and imagine on all others around here. Bridges and stream banks will take a beating. Streams will change as they most often do and I will have much to do relearning them. I CAN'T WAIT to get started. Won't be anytime soon as old man winter has settled in for the long term.

Very few ducks around in the open water of larger streams. Have not checked the lakes as ice was thick and I do not ice fish.

Mid 50,s here on the shore yesterday & today. Rain tomorrow afternoon turning into a blizzard overnight Sunday into Monday morn.

We went from the coldest winter yet for us in Tampa to back to high 70s and 80s.
I really miss having 4 real seasons.
