Can anyone give me any input on this piece? the wife got it at a garage sale this morning and thought I may like it. Its numbered out of 341 and I believe it may just be Bronze? paperwork on back says they made 3000 so Im wondering if the first 341 aren't bronze and the rest were resin? Not often we see such art of boats like the Ducker and I would guess its not something were going to just run out and find anywhere. I used google and ebay with little information to be found. And when something isnt all over ebay its a pretty good bet its as stated not easily found. Thoughts? anyone have one? Value?

garage sale - very nice

double luck - the considerate wife and the find -

i have seen that some place before - a museum or a book - now to rack what is left of my brain about where

If you decide to part with it, let me know. As an owner of a ducker, that has been handed down three generations now, it would be a nice piece for my shelf.

I just got off the phone with Mr. Lee Leuning himself, This piece was consigned for ducks Unlimited in the mid 90's and the contracted seller of the piece went out of business shortly after the first edition and they never completed the run of 3000 as was to be done. Thus why there is only 310 of the first edition, They are resin sculptures of the original. Mr. Leuning told me the story behind the piece and made an offer on it himself as he don't even own one himself.

I have been involved in Du for a very long time and this is the only one I have ever seen and Its confirmed that there is only 310 that were ever produced.

Cool little piece.

Looks like they do a lot of those public statuary commissions.

Yes sir Bob, I spoke with him yesterday. He valued the piece at 1000.00 or more. due to rarity of the piece.
