My eye surgeon was 3 feet in front of me sitting on an office chair, when he asked me that question. I quickly said, "Yes." He then held up some fingers to see if I could see how many and I said, "I'm just glad I can see your hand."
Dr. Himmel then told me that he had put in a large air bubble that was pushing up against the donor's cornea (5th layer only) to keep it in place and from what he could see, the results from yesterday's surgery looked great.
I know that I'll be wearing dark glasses for quite a while as everything begins to heal. That should not present any problems. The best news of all was that when he found out that our teal season opens in 22 more days, he just asked me to be careful. "No heavy lifting," was his cautious statement. I told him that a bluewing teal only weighs a pound!
Thank you everyone for your well wishes. That meant a great deal to me.
