Very cool. We're waiting for this Stellar's Sea Eagle to return to the Maine coast, but last I heard it seemed to have settled in up in Newfoundaland, with occasional visits to Cape Breton. Pretty cool when it was here. It was spending time in a big white pine in a friend's yard, so we got to skip the crowds on the local bridges and get a close-up look from the kitchen over coffee. https://maineaudubon.org/news/rare-bird-alert-stellers-sea-eagle/

Friends on Long Island have seen it. As my daughter lives in Germany, I have heard them several times back in their native land. I have yet to see one up close - but their song is remarkably like the clocks!

I've shot a couple old squaw south of New Orleans. I've seen all the scoters here, and had a chance at a drake harli once after the season.
