Decoy Bags ?

Thanks everyone, I think I might try one of Diane's.

Dick,
Get a bag from a few different sources then decide what works best for you..When you find the one best suited then buy more of that type and if you need sell the others...Myself, regardless what others might think, have numerous bags from numerous sources and do prefer Dave's bags over the others...Just my 2 cents....

I have met both and seen both Dianne's and Dave's bags both of them make good bags. Keep in mind it a BAG..
You need to decide if you want canvas or Cordura. Some of my canvas bags are over 20 years old and are still going strong.
The problem with the older bags is that they did not sew the dividers all the way to the bottom.
I have heard that canvas will breath better.
I am in the market for a few brant and goose bags I am going to buy tanglefree brand bags.
Today I was hunting with a guy that was using tanglefee bags they looked to be made ok.
I just bought their floating guns case it is well made.

Actually makes me wonder how long some people can stay bitter about something so silly.

Like Diane and Avery are the poster children for morality in business. And I have nothing against Diane, but for hand carved decoys the material used by her and Avery are rougher on the paint. I'm not as worried about how well a bag holds up as I am how well the decoys inside them do.

But TO is right, to each their own.

Bob. I have probably 10 of Diane's bags and they what I would buy again if I needed any. If given the choice, I buy from someone who has not shit on the forum and left in a fit.

As a side note, it only took a day for me to get an email from Dave. Seems he is still selling bags through the forum and doesn't want my negative comments to cut into his sales.

P.S. Dave, I wouldn't use a piece of your canvas to wipe my ass.

Diane's bags are great but her customer service needs some work but I do see your point.
 
Does anyone have a current source for bags that will hold 6 magnum duck decoys ? sarge The question was not should I buy one of Dave's Bags. I will go on record stating Dave makes a very good bag. Will you disagree or agree with that statement? Weather to buy one of his bags or not is a different question

Dave may be a jerk but he delivers his product as promised & on time (more than I can say for Diane) and his bags don't beat up my decoys (more than I can say for the Avery bags). I don't own any Rogers or Tanglefree. I would like to get a Tanglefree slotted with backpack straps for walk-ins.

No tantrum here not even any angst. He crapped on the forum and Eric, specifically, yet is relying on the forum to sell bags. I have known Eric for 15 years and he has always been fair and given people more than a fair chance, but Dave pushed and pushed and ended up in a position that he can't extract himself from, but he is still using Eric's forum to sell bags.

You can say that there is no such thing as bad publicity, but that only works if you are something like Lindsey Lohan.

This is great forum and we all must abide by the rules. But it does not give someone
the right slander another IMO.

I Would buy one of Daves and one of Dianes and compare for yourself.

I have two of diane's bags that i keep my decoys in. One is a twelve pocket and the other is a six. They are canvas, have sewn down pockets, anchor pockets, zippered top, and mesh on the bottom. I have had them 6-8 years and they are good a new. They were worth the wait. The anchor pockets are really good to have to keep it from knocking against your birds. My rig was made by Jode and Sean, and while i can't say i keep them mint, i like to try and take care of them. I like canvas better than the other materials for my cedar rig because i like that it dries easily and the mud looks great. The workmanship is first class and the extra features are worth it.

I have both bags dave and diane. Bought both at decoys shows not off the forum. I like both bags though i like the canvas that dave uses over the cordura. Dave does not need any one to sell his bags they sell them selfs based on the quality being at all the shows selling his product. I also saw more about building boats from dave than any other on this forum. I would love to see more how to build boat posts by him.

How many were here for the Pitboss vs. Diane thread? How about the "baglady" pic? ha ha hah aha good times all around.

I've had fine service from her, but I know that isn't always the case. I wish Dave hadn't burnt his bridges, but he chose to get ugly and I can't support him because of that.
