Me. As they have put me incontact with two really good chaps. Heck Tim, is even going further an carving me my own little gargany, so I can hunt over him in the uk.

Looks like I lucked in again... Last time I had Kevin fOlkman and stef from Sweden and we are still good mates now. Often chatting about decoys, hunting and family. Great idea to repete that dave.
 
Will do Paul, he had fun picking the names and he has told me that he wants to be in the decoy swap in a few years once he has gotten better at carving. He is 12 next week and is my "shadow" when it comes to anything hunting, fishing, or carving related.

Charles you made me a beautiful decoy thank you very much. Tom L your decoy is on the way ups I didn't request a signature (because for me it is always difficult) hope you enjoy it. Dave Church thank you very much this was very fun and I would look forward to doing this again anytime. I got as excited as a kid at Christmas when I seen my box on the porch! I have a few canvasbacks I am working on now I am going to put one on the side in hoes of bother swap! thanks again hope everyone enjoyed as much as myself . Happy easter to all God bless

Probably didn't help that I packaged it in an empty case of beer, Yuengling Lager no less! I hope it brings you good luck!

(laughing out loud) I seen the beer box and got a chuckle but i will admit i recycled it and sent my decoy out in that same box !
 

Dave Church, just wanted to say thanks for a fantastic drake mallard, it will fit right in with my cork mallards this coming fall. I really liked the orange leg detail at the waterline. Its not something you see everyday on a decoy, but you certainly can see the orange of a mallards legs when you see one on the water. For me one of the coolest things about carving decoys is all the different styles and ideas out there.

As soon as I get a chance this spring I'm going to take all my decoys for a swim and snap a few photos. I'll be sure to post them up when I do.

Thanks again for the decoy, and for organizing the swap!

Thanks Charles. Everybody has (or maybe should) have a different take on how they make decoys. Some use different coloring, body shape, head shape, etc. I started adding the "bumped out" leg and painting them a year or so ago and actually liked it. I actually was painting some bills, got paint on my thumb, moved a decoy and later noticed that I had gotten orange on the body. It looked right and I kept it. Had a great time with this swap, we will do it again and hopefully get even more people involved.
