Devastating Weekend...

On Friday afternoon I had to put down Bruno my Boykin Spaniel he was 12 years old. I had him since he was 8 weeks old. He was my friend, companion, and buddy. We did everything together hunting, fished with me, and was at my side constantly. We duck hunted all over together, he lived for it. I knew the day was coming but your never prepared. I am totally devastated but I know that time will heal and I may get another dog. If I wrote about every hunt it would take me 12 years, he was the best. View attachment 20161108_082717-2-1.jpg

Sorry. Its a shame that a good dog won,t last a man a lifetime. When your finished grieving for your buddy get started looking for his replacement and create a new partner, and keep Bruno in your heart.

Sorry to hear it John. We have lost so many, it doesn't get any easier. I would encourage you to find another friend when you feel the time is right, We moved from Labs to a Pudelpointer, opened a whole new world.

My condolences on your loss, remember the good times.

Bill.

Sorry to hear this John, no matter how long we have them it is never long enough

My condolences on the loss of your buddy, their life span is a cruel trick on us. You are in good company here, we all understand that it sucks every time but remember the good times. We have been there and will be again.

My condolences.
It is such a common and inevitable thing to happen but that sure doesn't make it feel any better. I hear people say its like losing a friend or family. I think it might be even deeper to just say its like losing a dog. We share so much with them. We know they can't talk yet we have long discussions with them. They can tell our feelings with just a glance or by one word. I wish I had friends so loyal as a dog.
If only dogs could be around much longer.

Tim

John

You have my sympathy.

When they leave they take a part of us with them, and a void that only memories can try to fill.

You shall meet again in The Happy Hunting Ground.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your faithful companion. It's never easy. Rest in comfort rememe ring the good times you shared. As my great father in law likes to say- "memories don't make themselves". I'm sure you have plenty.

Jon
