Did you name your duckboat?

Title pretty much tells it all. I've been a boater my whole life from the 24' ChrisCraft cabin cruiser we had when I was little, through twenty years as a charter boat captain in Hawaii and every boat I sailed had a name, but I don't see many here naming their small carft, maybe I missed it. Have you named your duck boat, either in a casual nickname sort of way, or more official with the name stenciled on the transom? I'm thinking of naming mine after my best water dog, or maybe something else.

John,

Andrew Holley held a contest to name his boat. The winner got a duck hunt. He built a tender that was barely legal. I think he decided on Legal Tender.
Tell us more about your boat.
My suggestion is "Fowl Mood"

Just sold my old BBSB to a friend and when his wife saw it for the first time she said " It looks like a piece of drift wood"
I replied "Well thats the point"
Now the boat is named " Driftwood"
I thought that was a great name, wish I would have thought of it first.

When I built my BB3 I had intended to put a big yellow eye on the transom and call it Golden Eye but ................I never got a round to it and now it seems too cutesy. I just call it "duck boat".

My boats have sucky names:

The old green boat.

The small green boat.

The leaky green boat.

That heavy wooden piece of crap boat.

I have a growing collection of crappy boats to go with my crappy pickup. I had to infect my newest dog with ringworm because she was too pretty and throwing off my chi.

Eric D. ended up "winning" the contest with the name JUGGERNAUT

NOUN:
  1. Something, such as a belief or institution, that elicits blind and destructive devotion or to which people are ruthlessly sacrificed.
  2. An overwhelming, advancing, unstoppable force that crushes or seems to crush everything in its path: "It doesn't assume that people need necessarily remain passive when confronted by what appears to be the juggernaut of history" (Christopher Lehmann-Haupt).
"Legal Tender" was a close second, with the width issue and the fact I am a commercial banker by trade.

For my next contest, going to have to come up with names for the layouts. Thinking about "juggies", LOL.

My BBIII is named "Bill Collector II".

Mostly I call it the grey boat though. The other boat is "Bill Collector" and we call it the green boat.

Here is the Boat on a hunt last year with my wife. It was cold!!!

Mine is generally known as the Disappointment.

I had intended to call it the "Dixie Normous"

My cousin's boat was intended to be called "Hoof Hearted"

We need more names along those lines, if anyone knows any . . .

I had a wooden duck boat back when I lived in Vermont, that never had an official name, but we refered too it as the landing craft because it reminded me of what the military might land on a beach! 3 hunters, a dog, 6 dozen decoys and a blind, and small craft warnings on Lake Champlain did not deter us in that beast....

I have been searching for a name for the BBSB that I have been rebuilding... right now I refer to it as shop therapy, but my wife just calls it "what have you spent so far?"

This thread is timely, hoping I get some inspiration from it... I liked Grebe, but now that is taken!.... John Bourbon's is Mergus that is cool...

WHY YES, YES I DID...

I call her "The Invisible Lady". Cuz you can't see her, I can't see her,....Hell, NOBODY CAN SEE HER! Cuz, I ain't got her yet.... " Oh teacher, thine other name be poverty". crap, depression sets in for another season.
