DRAKE LST Wader Update

Called Drake directly and spoke to a young lady there. I described my issues with my old waders and she offered me the 2.0 series LST Waders for 30% off. Bought them on the spot after discussing the other problems (too low in the armpit area, leaking around the belt loops, stiffness of the protective cloth, faulty closure using velcro, and leaking in the crotch). Shipped today and should be here in mere days.

I will check them out and test them as best I can and get information back to y'all as it comes in.

Say what you may about their product, but their customer service (in an effort to retain customers) was impressive.

Interested to hear what you say. I just wore my pair for the first time this week. Overall they are very nice but did seem to be tighter in the hips than other neoprenes I've had. Curious as to your experience.

Mike, I had to buy an extra of waders last year down in Arkansas, and initially thought I wanted the Drakes. After trying them on in the store and experiencing some of the issues you noted, I decided against them. The two guys in the store told me that almost all of the Drakes they sold came back because of leaking. They would have still sold them to me, but only if I really had to have the Drake name. I ended up with a pair of Lacrosse as a back up. I still like Cabelas for my first choice, I've been getting about 5 years out of a pair.
