duck calls

I like my RNT Short Barrel in cocobola and an RNT Daisy cutter in acrylic as backup. Right now the short barrel is tuned a little better - but both are great sounding. They also have some good CD's for instruction.

For a goose call I'm using a Foiles SMH.

All of these have more capability than I can operate them at, but I practice and use the few that I'm comfortable with when I do get out.

I have had the bubble wrap poly carb Buck Gardner and the Duck Commander calls, none of which seem to be more than a funky kazoo to my ears and sound the same since I passed them to the kids.
 
Yes Steve Brettell is a world class carver!!! And a world class guy.. But hey you know that already!!!

Ed yes I'm weird and have known steve for a lot longer then you have. You didn't learn anything from me crarving and I have studied with some of the best carver in the country. So I was interested what you learned paying for it,instead of getting it free. What greater gift can you give then part of your self.How about posting some of what you learned so others might not have to pay for it. Ed I know a lot of carver all over the country,and judge decoys every year in Mass. I offord you something I created form my hart to mabe renew something,but you are in an other world from mine, best of luck in your indevers. Bill

What I have learned from Steve Brettell is priceless and I have never paid one penny for any of it. 99 % of it isn't even duck related. Most important is how to treat people with respect. He is the kind of guy that would drop what he is doing to help a friend with not a single how come or why... or what am I going to get out of this..

Where is this all coming from? I will not say anything bad to you or about you to anyone. Especially on a open public forum. You should maybe do the same...

Ed: I don't think I have said any thing bad about anyone on this forum or you or your great friend Donald who must of the forum knows. I requested that you post some of your decoys to share with the rest of the member here as you have been carving for a long time. If you have been up on this forum you would know what I have given here and what other great carver have given.I have shared hours of work on offset for BBSB,progress on melonseed.I had offered you at one time every thing I was given by the greator on my art freely to you but you chose the above.and I e-mailed you an offer to use my BBSB any time . with out attachments other them friendship. It was you that saw some thing different in it. the site my chose to throw me off for these coments,Ihave not gained anything,only tried to pass along what I have learned over these pass thirty years of carving, so here is hope that steve or eric sh-- can me best to you and the great sander, Bill

I have done nothing to you. I still won't make any comments on you or your problems with me here in a public forum... Get some Dave Shady Calls. I have a couple I can show you if you want. I cant use them for crap but that is not the makers
fault:)
On the side subject, just let it go buddy. You know better.

Can we try for after the holidays? I need to sharpen some knives!
