Duck Commander's banning from his own show

I think most of you are missing the point here. This whole situation isn't about if you like the show, duck hunting, duck calls or really even his show.... It's about the liberals taking over this country and making free speech something thats punishable by losing your job.

As Americans we have the freedom to say what we want and believe in any religion we choose. This man is a Christian and stated his beliefs then was persecuted for it because it wasn't deemed "politically correct" by A&E Network. This country is going downhill fast because of the liberals, Obamunism and the lack of good 'ole fashioned values.

While you may not like his show, you should all support the man because his constitutional right to free speech and religious beliefs have been trampled. He is free to say anything he wants, the same as the rest of us. In addition, does anyone not see the parallel to how liberals are attacking our gun rights? C'mon guys.... wake up, who cares if you dont like the show? This is a lot bigger situation. Frankly I am a little shocked at the reactions here as I believe they are very short sighted.

+1, Only thing I would add is: You should also proud of him as a successful business man, took one of his passions in life and with hard work turned it into a successful business. I couldn't agree more, this is not a duck hunting show like the original Duck Commander show.We are losing our rights in every aspect of life.Phil stated in an interview many months ago that his time on the show was limited,A&E,did want him to use the word God,Jesus, etc.America needs to wake up.

Here are some pictures of our duck commanders before they decided to grow beards and pretend to be retarded rednecks. Good looking folks huh?

My one last post then I'm done with this topic. If these duck commander "hunters" are truly redneck (which I would be proud to be accused of) family value minded people, it will be interesting to see how the boys will respond to dad being kicked off. In my compound we stick together. If Phil is out, the boys should tell the network "bye".

But back to the real thread, is Auburn University a National Championship team? War Damn Eagle!

We wont know until January 6th for sure, but I think they are going to whip FSU's butts.War Damn Eagle!

It's all fake. These guys are smart. Their job is to pretend to be these characters they've created. They'll continue the show without Sy because it's their jobs. It's how they make a living. They're a franchise. Like Mickey Mouse or something. At least Sy can now shave his beard off. You know he'll feel better once he gets rid of that thing. Also, perhaps what he said was calculated and done on purpose for some reason?

I think most people are missing Phil's intent. Phil wants to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. He seems to do it every chance he gets. I don't think the response to his comments surprise him. If anything, he is probably surprised it took this long.

I watch DD regularly. I would not describe it as a duck hunting show. I would not describe it as a reality show, sitcom might be a better description.

A&E came out and stated they are champions of LGBT. That is their right. I do not think the LGBT population is who the advertisers are trying to reach when they advertise on DD.

I could see Phil hoping this puts the fire to the feet of A&E forcing them to choose one oway or another.

I think the liberal media jumped on this because they like to do that type of thing and it is a distraction from the actual lies effecting everyone in this counrty.

The biggest lie and hurtful things have been said by Obama. 'if you like you insurance, you can keep your insurance'. That deception does indeed effect every man woman and child in America. We will be paying for it. I already have less money for stuff like duck hunting.

What Phil Robertson said will have little to no effect on America. If Phil said 'Thou shalt not Lie.' Would Obama supports be even more pissed?

Who is talking about Sy? This whole issue is about Phil....

The more I read about the Robertsons the more I like them. They are a very positive example of a family that has come from nothing, been through a lot, and are happy and faithful.

Phil loves hunting ducks, loves eating ducks, and loves God and the Bible....sounds like a great guy to me.

I'm gonna go buy a few of their duck calls today.

-D

Thats too bad that anyone would be surprised or care much. I really like my classic commander call and I didn't mind that show even though its a soap opera with beards :)

Guess people have seen enough rednecks on TV. I shudder to think where the pendulum will swing next.

Not to let this horse die, I was reading an article on this whole spectacle and found this line referring to his GQ article:
"He (referring the Phil) also has some distressing thoughts on pre-Civil Rights-era Louisiana which have gotten no media attention"

Why isn't that in the media????

so- my lovely wife and I were out finishing Christmas shopping for the grand-kids

and there on an end cap was the "Duck Commander Talking Mallard"

I look at it and think out load "what embarrassing thing does that say?"

that's when she hit me
