"While the LGBT community may be offended by his opposing viewpoint, the rash, discriminatory, and unfair treatment toward Mr. Robertson -- a recognized symbol of the faith community -- is a slap in the face to faith driven consumers and everyday Americans alike." Read this somewhwere and I thought it hit the nail on the head
When asked what Phil was doing after the firing, as an elder in his church, he was leading a prayer group for a little girl with terminal cancer. Sounds like a terrible guy to me.
I can promise you Phil's contract with A&E stipulates that when he provides an interview, A&E has to approve the transcript. Very common in situations such as this. A&E had to approve the interview, probably screened the questions, and gave final approval of the end results. If they didn't do this, they gave approval for Phil to speak freely and approval for GQ to freely publish. A&E knew what was coming.
How come anyone who believes that gay relationships are immoral has to stay silent about the constant assault on us regarding this groups lifestyles and demands for equality. How come we can't be offended? I don't care if someone is gay or straight just shut up about it. Why is it news anytime someone comes out of the closet? Ever hear anyone come out, say they are straight and have this be newsworthy?
Shows that openly flaunt what I believe to be wrong I don't watch. I don't ask that they cancel the show or fire anyone. I just don't watch. You don't like what Phil has to say, don't watch and don't support the advertisers.
