Eddie Kershaw's Boat Build-UK-Early July Progress

I am sure Eddie is relieved that you posted--Sure wish the welshman would get his arse in gear and get it done before they lay him out in it!!!
Coming along, it is!!

Very nice Eddie,
but I think I see some dust over by the drum sander, and a piece of plywood that is not quite straight against the work bench. Time for a shop clean up!!!!!!

Boat looks great. I like the oar locks.

That shop is a model of cleanliness. I bet Amber loves lying in the door while the work goes on.

Hey Look,
I see sawdust on Eddies floor...!!
I remember seeing that shop before and the floor was clean enough to eat off of.
Ha Ha

Eddie, I have to agree, the boat looks great! But what a shameful mess you have made in your shop;O. It really is a lot of fun building isn't it? Hope Amber is doing well too. Summer here is on one hand flying by and then I look at all yet to do and get a little panic. We open our season this year on Sept 24 so that will come up quick. Looks Good
Shiny side up.

George mate
I know you are trying to wind me up you old fart by saying Im a welshman HeHeHe but its not going to work, and if I have got to rush doing anything I dont enjoy it, so thats why I like to take my time and do a proper job but if I was to snuff before the boat is built then I can have a Viking funeral and you can all do stump dances HeHeHe.

When I have finished this boatbuild I will be stripping everything out of the workshop and having a good blowdown and clean out ready for my next project and then if I car,nt eat of the floor then it is not clean enough mate. Has for Amber she is so devoted to me she is at my side all the time and wants to put her nose into everything so sometimes I have to leave her in the house like when Im doing anything that involves apoxy or glassing up.
The rowlock blocks was some measurements Dave Defenderfer sent to me and I sort of went off the design he has got on his BBSB but added feet to mine to change the style slightly. Thanks for the congrats Im glad you like it.
Take care and God Bless

Al mate
Amber car,nt wait to get in the boat she keeps standing up on her back legs trying to get into the boat while Im trying to build it and I have got to keep saying down so she jumps on the cradle and lies under the Hull. I can also picture the pair of us in that boat on the estuary and Im looking forward to when that day comes. This will be my first BBSB that Im making, so Im feeling my way slowly so there is no cock ups.
Take care and God Bless

I would just like to point out at this stage that all the woodwork you see inside of the boat are pattens and in the next CD of pictures that I have sent to Lou, you will see that I have cut all my Marine plywood from my pattens and tempary put them in the loacation that they should be to see if everthing looks all right. Once I have got the hull conpleated and glassed up and runners on the bottom of my Hull this boat should come together very quickly.

Robert I agree mate but when Im taking the pictures I try to get the best angle that I can to show the work in progress, one day I may get it right.

Ha Ha Geo If I did,nt leave any sawdust on the floor, you would say that shop is way to clean it needs some saw dust on the floor, I car,nt win mate HeHeHe. Take care and God Bless Eddie and Amber Its all about Building that Bond.

Thanks for the congrats on the boat Im enjoying this Boatbuild. Amber is coming along fine now and will be ready to go this season, our season starts on the 1st september every year and go,s through to 31st of january inland and up to the 20th febuary below the highwater mark on the foreshore.
This year it looks like I will be shooting off the foreshore untill the boat is made and that I dont mind because it will give Amber more time to explore the foreshore and get used to the smell of the marsh.
Take care and God Bless

Eddie, ya got your build comming along great! With the little modifications you did to your boat& the ones I did to my Mallard, they are looking quite different, but thats the great thing about building one your self, customizing to fit your needs! Keep up the good work& soon you& Amber will be living the good life& having the time of your life hunting out of your new boat. (oh don't pay any attention to thoes who are teasing about the dirty shop, it still looks good to me& I think they're just jealous of it)LOL
