I took my daughter out last weekend and she did pretty good. The morning was slow with very few birds flying. We were just about to pull the plug and head in when a nice group of about 15 mallards gave us a look and dropped into the decoys. I picked out a drake and fired, then saw two more splashes in the water! I looked over at Halie and she was smiling ear to ear....she doubled! She has been shooting trap with me on and off so apparently the practice paid off. I'm hoping the birds will come down so we can have a chance to at another great day.

Wow what a start to a lifetime of waterfowl hunting. Nothing better than hunting with your children. Congratulations to Halie on a magnificent double.

Yeah...I'm not sure who was more excited me or Halie. It must have been her MLBob custom made duck call that brought her some luck. It has been a particularly slow season and seeing her finally put it together really made my day.

Steve, a triple...not sure I could even pull that one off...LOL However, I will tell her the bar has been raised...;)

Way to go, Halie. You fall into a class of the elite when taking a double on your first hunt. Congratulations!
