Headed out shortly to meet my Grandson!

i did my 1st hunt with my grandson last may on a NH turkey hunt. He shot a nice one , 19 1/2 lbs with a 9 inch beard and 1 inch spurs,

That is great! Grandkids are a blessing from God for surviving parenthood. I have two grandsons and a third on the way. I too hope to be able to spend time afield with them.

Congratulation! We were blesses with our first two grand babies last October. Boy and girl born ten days apart to my two daughters and their husbands. Hope I'm around long enough to take them out.
 
Thanks guys for all the well wishes. I'm truly phych'd about having a grandson, even if I need to baby proof the house and dust off and oil the kid sized air rifles. Health wise thing couldn't be better for either Meg or the Kid. They should be returning home this afternoon so Barb is making a pot of pulled goose to bring over and leave at their house. At the least we'll get him used to smelling good waterfowl cooking.

Judging on how excited Lynn (2nd daughter) was over the baby, maybe we'll get a bunch of grand kids in the works. I can hope so anyway!

Congratulations to you and your family. Nothing like a baby around to liven things up and brig a little joy to the world.
 
Congrats Grandpa! Good thoughts go out to the new parents, youngun and of course the grandparents. The wife and I had our 10 mo. old grandson for the day today. What a blessing but nothing can make you feel old faster than a toddler. Yep our 10 mo. old grandson is already walking and man can he move.
