This is by far my favorite way to hunt. Hunting land lock fresh water ponds that others will not walk 400 yards to. Been a few years since I have seen gadwall but the weather had lots of ducks moving. 7 ducks between two of us made a exciting morning.

What a great photo! I've always loved those "cowlicks" of hay on the salt meadows. That spot looks exactly like the spots - on the south shore of Long Island - where I used my coffins back in the day. Maybe next year !
