Nothing like what you guys are going to see up here, but we're still preparing to hunker down. My boat sits on a haul-out on a shore exposed to the east wind, so I went down this afternoon to pull it. I sure wish Maine allowed Sunday hunting, because it would have been epic. Before heading upriver to the launch, I rode over to my usual east wind spot and put up what must have been 500+ mixed teal, blacks and mallards. I tossed out three decoys, hid the boat on shore, and watched them all come piling back in for a half hour or so.
I sure wish I could hunt tomorrow morning before the storm hits, but I have an early morning meeting--and better safe than sorry.
