I guess it's finally gonna happen......................

I just hope no one will have trouble sleeping tonight after seeing Rosie in all her glory. Guess I'll have to put a pic of my sculler or maybe a pic of my trustee four legged companion up.

It definitely sucks being outnumbered by the women in the house...... You cant win .............. ever!!! Just dont shovel out the 17 year olds car and she wont have any choice then.

If the storm hits Saturday as predicted, I will have left for work before anyone has gotten up.
So, if they want to get out they will have no choice but to dig. hahaha

No problem Eric, this is a great site, I hope my new avatar goes better with the theme of this site.

John maybe you should have a little fun with them and hide the big shovels and leave an old spade out in plain site ...... Gotta feeling it would all be waiting for you when you get home from work. Be careful driving ..... watch out for the crazies.

I lived in Maryland in the 90's when we got hit with a huge storm like that. I couldn't make it to work, but I was able to make it PAST work and several more miles to duck hunt. The first flock of birds we dropped seven and every bird was different. We had a mallard, a widgeon, a GWT, a shoveler, a blackduck, a gadwall, and a ringneck .......all from the same flock. Everything was in season at the time and it was barely light enough to see them. I can only guess that they were all rafted up together and when they all got up in the dark, they just hung out as they flew over us. Crazy day. Good luck with the storm. dc

Five years ago we got 26 inches in 8 hours.......tad much....but made it to work with the Jeep and tire chains....should have stayed home

Matt, tell them they can't leave the house unless their boyfriends clear the drive. Bet it is done in about 5 min!

Central Ohio has been gearing up for the 'White Death' for a day or two. On my way to work this morning flock after flock of Canada geese were heading for the corn stubble to fill up. It would have been a great morning to be in the field! Goose season closed on the 31st.

It started snowing here about an hour ago. Central Ohio's fate is still hanging in the balance.

Tom

Same thing is happening here in Maryland. I must have seen a 4 or 5 farmers fields that were loaded with geese.
