What is happening is that the measurements systems have gotten so much better in the past few years. We use to be able to measure in parts/100,000, then parts/million and now parts/billion and beyond. As detction capabilities improve, we find more persistent chemicals hanging around. It is not that companies who produce all these chemicals are trying to skirt their responsibilities, they just don't know. I am also not stupid and realize that there are people making stuff who don't care as well.

Yeah the parts/____________ I do some rhodamine dye tracer studies on water moment though a drainage,,,,and yes the ability to detect ever finer resolution has driven me to madness HAHAHAHA!!! Working in the field using limited lab equipment...UGH!!

This caries over into water quality and air quality as well....we learn more then in the past...and yet are still in the dark.. So I agree with Mark...

Forever gaining knowledge, yet lacking in wisdom is the bane of society
