January "What's on your Workbench?"

carving related workbench to protect my knives when I take them to carve places. Got tired of the light plastic tubes breaking they ship them in.

cut it a little long so I could get sandpaper in the tube also to make it a complete set when carving heads on the road.

Tom: Great minds think alike. I made a few almost just like that but I put a threaded screw on end-cap on one end They work great. I only put one knife in in each it keep the blades from nicking each other.

Great birds all. I've got one on the painting table now and I'll try and get some pictures up soon.

Just finished this Brook Trout close-up. 11x14 acrylics on stretched canvas. Honestly I'm going to do something duck related one of these months. :)

Sort of like Tim, I have been painting. Living in a small apartment until we find a house, all my tools are in storage.

This is a painting of Woodbridge Island and Hank Garvey's hunting shack. I saw a photo from Mark(MO) about the time I was thinking of painting yesterday morning. Unlike my decoys, I keep the painting rather impressionistic/

Steve,
that is cool. I'd know that Shack anywhere.
Quite a bit of history behind that duck camp.

Well done Tom, I think your friend will be happy. It's what I'd expect a Blue Ross' to look like. It would be nice to have a skin of one of them handy wouldn't it? :)
