best thing about it all the scrap wood I purchased when picking up my order last fall. Guy wanted $1bf for all the odd pieces I got probably 150 bf for $35 of 4x4 and smaller stock. Wood expense for 25 dove decoys is about $10-$15[

Great work everyone.

The craziness has begun around here. Kids have entered the last week of school and the activities are none stop. Between that and the projects at the house carving had slowed a bit. The other day the black flies chased us out of the back yard but it was cool in the shade and there was a breeze on the side of the house so I got a little more complete. Hollowed and rough carves. Started final carving and sanding on a few. The final part of the Can rig  is behind them.

Here is a pic I sent Tom the other day. I didn't like the tail. He helped me out with advice now the tail matches the line of the wing.

Hello, My name is Robert Gohl. I am new to this site and also new to carving. Here's a few of the latest decoys I have carved. A Hen pintail and a blackduck. hope you like them, thanks for looking.

Welcome Bob! It's about time you signed up here :)

P.S: you can make your pics a little larger so we can see the detail! Look forward to seeing many more.

trying to work my way through 25 of them in batches. Found out that six was my limit on wanting to paint at the same time.

Great bird Robert, glad to see you made it to the site. Welcome aboard my friend.
I second Todd's note....go ahead, enlarge the pics. It makes it easier for us to critique it........bwaaaaaaaa. Take care, stop in when you're around.
