I'm so sorry to hear this Jode, what a loss. Try to remember you and yours are safe and OK and that is what counts in the end. Again, sorry to hear it.

if there's anyone on this site that can dust off and keep trucking, it's you jode.

sorry you're having to deal with this buddy but as someone said, just try to remember that the "things" can be replaced. no matter how much history or personal worth they may have held, they are just things.

hug your family and i'll be thinking about you and yours down here.

Jode,

So sorry to hear of this but like everyone else so glad no one was hurt. I remember how I felt when my home was destroyed in a flood a number of years ago. Good things will happen.

Wow.....sad news to hear. My heart goes out to you for all that you have lost.

Good side is no one was injured or worse. All things can be replaced even though they may not be the same as the old. You will make memories again, that I am sure of. You were given a gift and that gift can be used to heal.......

Jode
That is a helluva loss. Hope you get help to clean up and assistance in rebuilding for it will take time and money. Good luck.

I can't even imagine. I don't know what I can do from Arkansas, but we will definitely keep you in our thoughts. Please let us know if we can help you out somehow...

Gang,

Here's what I have hanging in my garage right now.

It's an A-B-C model.

When I open up my shop next year (cargo container), I plan on having another iin there.

Bought it from Griot's Garage Equipment.

I think I paid $300.00 for it.

I am very sorry for your loss.

Get a legal pad and start a list of things that you can remember.

My father lost his woodworking shop to fire seven years ago. We are still recalling items we forgot to replace while the insurance company was on the hook. He has a better building and new tools now, but the memorabilia, decoys, things he made, things people made for him, and the good old fashioned quality tools were impossible to replace.

Jode,

Sorry to hear baout your loss. Like others have said, glad you or no one was hurt.

Will insurance cover the tools and value of the other items? This will obviously not replace many things near and dear to you but it would be nice to be able to get started again some day.

I'm sure others will deal with something similar to yours at point be it flooding or fire. Any advice you could offer on insurance or other programs for these types of incidents would be helpful

thanks!

JODE, SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS,IF THERE IS SOMETHING I CAN DO FOR YOU AS ANOTHER JERSEY CARVER, JUST ASK & I WILL TRY AND HELP.EXAMPLE, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO USE MY SHOP & TOOLS TILL YOU GET REBUILT JUST ASK. PAUL

Jode,

That was one of the coolest shops I've ever been too. My gut aches just looking at the pictures. I wish I lived closer so I could help you out. Like Eric said, if there is anything I can do, just post it or PM me. Now is the time to call upon friends. Lord knows you've given a lot!

Jode, is it something the insurance co is going to cover monetarily? I understand the sentimental value is far greater than the money, but if the money isn't covered i'm down to donate a decoy to an auction or something so we can get you back on your feet. I'm sure others in the community feel the same way
