Keo is now with Meg

Keo took a turn for the worst this morning when I got up, she was rearly confused and in a lot of pain I did,nt think twice and got her to the Vets straight away, the Vet put her down and she died in my arms like Meg did with me telling her that her Daddy loves her, I know that I have made the right
decision but its still pain full and I car,nt stop beating myself up.

She is very happy and proud of you Eddie. She was suffering and you did the unselfish thing by letting her go to a place where she will feel no more pain. God bless you and may your own suffering diminish as you think of the fun and good times you had with this friend. dc
 
Dave my suffing will never deminish, within the last 6 months I have lost the best 2 dogs I have ever had and they got on well together thats why when Meg went I was,nt exspecting Keo to be long behind Her, Because Keo brought Meg up, I know it had to come but its still painfull when the time comes.

You made a difficult, but right decision--It was all about Keo's quality of life, and she was suffering.
Just think forward to the new pup, and all of the new memories you will have, along with all of the problems, etc.
God bless, buddy. We who have all had dogs in our lives, share in your grief.

my thoughts and prayers are with you. Please know you honor both yur beloved dogs by not allowing them to suffer pain any longer. time will heel your pain of loss, as will your new puppy.

I have posted this before after suffering such a loss,it is from a sympathy card sent to me from the vets office after my IKO passed.It still gives me great comfort.

Eddie I am so sorry for your loss. In my time i've had to put down several of my Chessies and each was the worst day of my life. I empathsize with your feelings Cindy is14 now and starting to show her age. Once again Im sorry Jack

I would like to thank everybody for thier support, I know I have made the right decision over Keo And I could not bare to so her like she was,it was painfull to see her that way, It is me now thats in pain and greif and has a lot of people say time is a healer. At this moment in time I now feel as though my life is in Limbo and it will remain that way untill Amber comes and then hopefully she will snap me out of it, Once again I would like to thank everybody at this time, of my moment in need.

I'm sorry to hear about Keo. I know it was a tough decision but it was the only right one. I've been through it my self, it's not easy. I'm sure Amber will be just what you need.

Time to redirect your head a bit---Perhaps you can dress warmly, and get into the shop for a bit each day?

I can't remember, but I think it was Lee Harker who comforted me with a few words when my Cody died, I'll say the same thing for your dog;

"Good girl Keo, good girl"

Eddie, I feel your pain and can't imagine what you are going through. I know they were both great dogs. Its so obvious how much you loved them. Keo just wanted to go see his buddy Meg. His heart was empty also. You did the right thing and time will help on the healing process. Prayers to you my friend.

Sorry for your loss, the last lab I lost took two weeks to get over, still miss him but enjoy the two year old I have now working the marsh with me.
