So Sunday evening Thomas makes plans to go hunting Monday morning with some friends, including a girl. I have to go back to work so I tell him to enjoy the last day of his break. I get a call from him Monday mid-morning him and he tells me they have a limit of Redheads after a flock of 40 bombed the decoys. Six redheads four being drakes. A little stunned I tell him the limit is two a piece. He says, "Yeah, three of us are hunting." I said, "Bonnie is hunting? She's not just along for the ride?" He says, "Yeah, she has her license. She's a really good shot and got two of the drakes. Her dad taught her sporting clays." Now I'm really stunned.

They ended up having a pretty good morning with the redheads and some ringnecks too.

It's so good to see youngsters enjoying the outdoors like these kids are. Nice job of parenting all around. Great story and pics. Thanks Eric.

That's great Eric, thanks for sharing, it's great to see smiles all around. Too many dour photos get posted, hunting is fun. I look at your avatar of young Thomas, then today's photos of the young man enjoying a hunt with a beautiful young lady. With limits of drake redheads? Awesome! Where did the time go?

Just a guess but those smiles aren't just over a great hunt.......

Very nice pic and thanks for sharing.

Way to go Thomas and Bonnie! Although all of my blind mates can out shoot me none of my blind mates ever wore pearls!

woo hoo! my question is the boy killing birds from a patterson built duck boat or did his dad get soft and buy him something?

Now that is what this is all about!! Nothing better than this. Great job and she is definitely a keeper!!

I wonder if Thomas has read this thread. He's probably thinking "Come on guys...we just went hunting together...we are just friends..." ;)

Ha ha Tim! I was thinking something similar... actually I was feeling sorry for Thomas. I'm probably in between the age of him and many of the folks responding so I have somewhat grown up in the digital age and my first thought is that one of his buddies sees his Dad's post and then shows other buddies...
