Time for the next update on Jarhead. He has been hunting hard in the rain. He running with a rough crew. This gang includes the either former or current waterfowl biologists from Alaska,Washington, Oregon and California. Combined there was almost 150 years of combined waterfowl management experience in the boat today.
Despite torrential rains we managed to take 20 scaup and one surf scoter. It's was a fun day with 5 of us all taking birds.
When we got home Jarhead found some new troops lined up to join his platoon. Four of Pat Gregory's birds showed up. Two from his Mud Lake rig and two cork birds. In addition to the Geoff Vine scaup I added a surf scoter from Brad F. The troops quickly planned an ambush based on the new intel and increased troop strength.
In real time the platoon is currently deployed and have fooled a few winged cousins again today. This Jarhead's last Washington assignment before migrating to Iowa tomorrow. Well done Jarhead, it's been a blast.
