Haven't posted many pics of my little yeller one...

He's grown into a fine looking dog. Evidently he gets the job done.

Thanks Tim. He is getting the job done, his work is not as pretty if as if he was an only child, but good enough. Last couple years I've hunted them together and I always send Pete for the tough birds, so he doesn't have the on the job training for the trougher retrieves that he would if he was an only child.

tod you bring up a very good point of hunting two dogs you tend to allways send older dog to get tough retrieves and that is why I now take one dog my younger one so I have to let him learn on the job and later I can hunt 2 dogs together also I am not big on competion between dogs while hunting its about picking up the birds

It is what it is, a dog's life is so short, I'd rather bring both if they want to go.

I'm not sure what you mean about competition for a bird. I'm assuming that you aren't talking about sending 2 dogs to retrieve one bird. I'll happily send both dogs on a double if they are seperated enough and the dogs have the birds marked.

Tod~

Dog and ducks are fine...BUT....that barn hardware is GREAT!

All the best,

SJS

Thanks Steve, but the hardware looks better than it is - it is pot metal.

I saw that your opener is tomorrow - best of luck.

Tod,

Nice picture although I have to ask; What was so interesting off to his left? (my dog Jack would never look at the camera either.) :>) :>)

The dairy farmer down the road is cutting for siliage and the geese found it today. I have pics of him looking at the camera, but I liked that one better (he looked fat in the ones looking at the camera, you know how it puts on 10 pounds).

I'm glad you finally decided to give him his due justice! I forgot to tell you that I really liked that door that is set up for the background. It is beautiful.
