Lund Ducker; need opinions on usability and price

Last year I sold my 12' Classic Barnegat BBSB and I'm looking for something to replace it. Currently my only duck boat is a Fatboy DP that I run with a 3.5 Lightwin; it's a nice combo but I'd like something a little more substantial for when things get cold & the rivers get good. I'm drawn to the Lund Ducker for it's history, light weight and open plan.

Are there any issues with this boat that I have missed? What seems to be a fair price for one in good condition?
In the past 6 months I've only seen one with in 2 hours of Indianapolis, so I don't have much of a litmus test as far as fair pricing goes.

Thanks!!

I bought a lund ducker about 4 years ago. I was going to see if it might be better than my Grumman sportboat. It is a neat, lightweight boat but stability wise I would not want to be on any significant water and is not more than a one man boat in my opinion. We keep it in one of the fields to transport decoys and stuff while we walk it to the blind.
I think I paid around a $1000. Great tradition but not even close to the wooden sneakboxes I've owned for stability.
Hope that helps.

Hank,
It is like any duck boat they are built for a specific purpose. The Lund ducker is for small bodies of water. They area a neat boat but in
my opinion over rated. I can say one thing they sure hold there value. If I were you see if you can hunt out of one before you buy it
or at least try it out.

Hank take a trip in say May and comon up and you can run mine around, I will pull it down from where it is hanging in the pole barn and away you can go on local waters both big and small. I am holding to my original statement though.

I have hunted out of one for 2 seasons now, as stated a very light boat, but I have liked it for the waters I hunt with it. Small waters and 2 people is not bad, having the removable second seat makes it much easier to balance the boat and get it to plane out. I have been using my homebuilt 6hp surface drive motor, for a blind I have been using a final approach style blind and have been very happy.
