I like the looks of the Dive Bomb, but I'm not spending 125.00 to park my butt down. I'm still using my decades old Surf and Swamp seat. All plastic, light weight and "fat man tested".

Yes, when it's dry it falls right out, and you can dig it out no problem. They have it on eBay for 69.00. It's easy to adjust the height. surf n swamp seat is how it's listed. Probably had mine for 25 years at least so it's durable. The end is pointed so it is easier to put in the ground.

May order one of these myself.
I've looked at these and thought what keeps it from sinking up to the seat. Of course I'm cheap so my thought was a piece of 2" dia schedule 40 PVC pipe with a schedule 40 flange glued or cross screwed with a 14" seat from Lowes bolted to the flange.

That deluxe model looks pretty comfy. It is really hard to stay seated for long periods sans back rest. I'll be going to Scheels in Fargo perhaps as early as this weekend. RM

Wow! My Surf and Swamp Seat arrived a couple days ago and I just got around to opening the box. This marsh seat exceeds my expectations with its simple and durable design. My only modification will be to add closed cell foam to the top of the seat with a few strips of 3M Super Basting tape. Thanks everyone for some really great recommendations. RM
