Terrie started hunting with me under the Maine apprentice license three years ago. After that first fall she took the NRA hunter safety course and has been hunting by herself (on days that I am at work) for the past two seasons. Earlier this season she missed a younger buck and was pretty discouraged to think of all those hours afield and she missed her opportunity. You must remember, in Maine, you don't see several deer each time out, you might be lucky to have just one opportunity a season. Anyways, the stars aligned yesterday and Terrie shot her first whitetail deer, a truly magnificent Southern Maine buck.
