Can some one tell me how to resize a photo using windows 7? The only way I can figure it out is to just crop it but that is not what I want to do. I want to reduce the KB without losing any of the photo.

If you photobucket you can set it so that it automatically does it after you upload, so there is no actual manipulation of the photos, it works great and is easier than resizing.

Tod, I don't think you can do auto-resize with the 'new' version of photobucket. It's been a real PITA for a bunch of people on another web site I frequent (more pic postings). I don't know if PB is going to do anything about it or not. I never used the auto resize but use Pixresizer instead.

Howard, what I do is use Pixresizer. It's a free download and is real fast and no cropping needed. Here is the download page: http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm

Interesting, I'm using the new version and I haven't done anything different and the pics are right???

Yeah, it for sure works, I'm uploading pics 4K+ wide and they are displaying right.

That's good Tod, I guess they got enough complaints to change it. I've never used the auto-resize but others have and had to go back to the old version of PB in order to get it to work. It's been a few weeks since I heard of all the complaints.

Howard,

I have used PIXresizer for years. Google it; it's a free download. Very easy to use + you can keep the original sized picture & the resize in the same file if you want.

I had it on the old version and transitioned and didn't change any settings - who knows?
