Are there any Nebraska residents or anyone else who could advise my wife and I on upland hunting SW Nebraska Thanksgiving week. Specifically information on Quail and the habit that they like and where to find it. Thanks, RM

Take a windbreaker and a sweater.
Excellent tip; thank you Todd. We are very excited to hunt Nebraska because we don't want our season to end so early. Possession limits were reached fairly early in our home state of MN and our neighbors to the west have very draconian restrictions on out of state hunters. RM

Very nice. I would love to have a shot at quail once in my life. There are zero quail in Pa., unfortunately.
There were some around still in the 80's in south Jersey, but very few remain. Back then a friend had a shorthair and we would do 1/2 hour hunts before work and sometimes find one of the coveys on the property. They are a great bird to hunt over dogs, even though I only ever shot a few.

Feral cats, and cats people leave outside most of the day are probably the biggest problem in this part of the country. You get into rural areas around here and they are everywhere. There are a few projects going on in way south Jersey to try and re-establish them. Ground nesting birds have it hard enough with racoons and foxes, you add in cats and forget it.

I'm glad you got into some quail RM Anderson!
